About the area
Matrahaza. A holiday resort that lies 700 meters high. Its founding goes back to 1930, when they lifted its first building, which they built from the public subscription of the Matra Associasion. It was built on the back part of the Roza hill, between 1927 and 1930, from which the memorial of the pagoda building can be seen even today. The guest house got the name „Matra Association gyest gouse”, Matrahaza got its name from the abbreviation of this. Its church was consecrated to the dowager of Hungary.
